Cape Byron Lighthouse, Byron Bay

Byron Bay is a wonderful place on earth, and the lighthouse being a main attraction is no exception. It was however difficult to find a unique composition being such a well photographed location. Cape Byron light house is led by the leading line I found in the fence. I was also lucky enough to capture this when all the other visitors where out of the frame just at the moment of peak light. Lucky!

I arrived here with my brother in law, and we had alot of difficulty finding a car park. Battling with the car parks and with time running out we settled for a spot a fair way down the hill, parked and made our way to the lighthouse. I had about 10 minutes to find a composition before the light was going to come from the sunset. I couldnt bring myself away from the distance and while I toyed with a shot closer to the lighthouse itself, I could move away from this scene.

I was suprised by the light around the New South Whales/Gold Coast region and the glow it was throwing in the clear sky’s around the time of my visit, and I was able to capture it here.
